FAQs

Ordering Information

Can I pay via Net 30-Day terms or a purchase order?

Yes, you can. To pay via Net 30-Day terms or via purchase order you must place an order on our website. Share your payment preference in the Additional Comments box at checkout and/or inform your personal Graphic Account Manager and a FORM will be sent to you. Your request will be reviewed for approval before we proceed with your order. To pay via purchase order, we must receive a copy of your signed PO with an amount that matches your online order.

Can I order different amounts than those listed in your Quantity/Price graph in the ordering process?

Yes! You can order the exact amount you need as long as it is above the lowest minimum quantity shown.

How do I finalize my order?

If you place an online order and are given the option to “Approve Design” online, your order is considered finalized when you:

  1. Click “Approval” for the artwork
  2. Enter credit card payment information on the checkout page
  3. Click on “Place Order”

If you choose the Pay Now option at checkout, but were not given the option to approve your design online during the checkout process, you will be assigned to a Graphic Account Manager who will email you a proof and sales order to review. To finalize this type of order, you need to email your Graphic Account Manager with approval of your proof. We cannot put this type of order into production until we have written (email) proof approval and have processed your payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the most popular credit cards: American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also can accept some purchase orders from schools, government agencies and other groups that may have restricted payment options. However, we do not accept international credit cards or payment methods. Contact your Graphic Account Manager for more information.

Will I be charged sales tax for the products I purchase online from ASF INK IT?

New laws now require that applicable sales tax be applied to online orders for customers based in Texas. ASF INK IT calculates sales tax at the time of purchase, in accordance with applicable state and local laws. The amount of the sales tax charged will be shown in the order confirmation sent to your email. At this time ASF INK IT does not collect sales tax for states outside Texas.

How can I make changes to my order?

We suggest you contact your Graphic Account Manager for any changes needed for your order. Multiple changes can be made during the proofing stage. However, after your order is in production it may be difficult to accommodate requests.

When will I receive a confirmation email?

You will be sent a confirmation email soon after placing your order online. Be aware that email messages can land in junk/spam folders; please be sure to check those folders if your confirmation email has not arrived.

Note: Your confirmation email ensures we have received your order but does not guarantee that your order is in production. If you did not approve your order online, you will receive a proof via email that must be approved by you before we can proceed with your order.

What does “production time” mean?

We refer to production time as the period it takes to produce and print orders during business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Before your order is sent to production, you must approve your FREE artwork proof and have your payment processed by 12 p.m. Noon Central Time. You can review the product details page for our current production time options.

How can I determine the status of my order?

The arrival date of your order depends on several factors:

The production time, which includes a deadline of 12 p.m. Noon Central Time.

  • The shipping method and destination you choose.
  • The day/time your proof is approved. Production will not begin until your proof is approved.
  • Our production and shipping times are based on ordinary business days.

Artwork & Design

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

For best results, we suggest sending your vector design as a PDF file. PDF’s with outlined fonts are preferred as they are easier to handle and speed up processing. Other vector formats that we prefer are AI, EPS and SVG with fonts converted to outlines. Any text not converted to outlines will be replaced with one of our fonts that most closely matches.

We also accept high resolution (300 dpi or higher) raster images at 100% print size or larger, in these formats: PSD, JPG and PNG. A lower resolution file may potentially result in a lower quality print, or placed on hold until we receive a higher resolution file. Our design team may assist you if high resolution art is not available.

Do I need to provide the design for my custom prints?

Yes, if you have a design ready in digital format, send it to us. If you don’t have artwork, or your art is not print ready, we can create or re-create it for you for an additional fee.

How do I know if my artwork is suitable for screen printing?

  • Design should be sent in at 100% size to be printed.
  • The thinnest lines cannot be less than 1 point.
  • There can be no gradients, shadows or color tints.
  • Font size cannot be smaller than 12 point.
  • Inverse art and negative space text should be bold in order to print well.
  • Avoid very small details and intricate patterns.
  • Be aware of copyright laws and obtain necessary permissions for artwork to be printed.
  • Some colors may not print well on dark apparel, consider the color palette and apparel color when designing.

How should I prepare my files for printing?

  • Make sure all your files are at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).
  • Make sure your file is sized correctly for output. If your design is 4”x5”, you’ll want your file sized that way.
  • Ensure you are using CMYK color space for optimal color output.
  • Be sure to proofread your file.
  • Be sure you are not using any copyrighted images (anything you don’t have permission to print/use that is owned by someone else). If it has a watermark on it, odds are you don’t have permission to print the file. We will not print your project if you are using illegal images.
  • Send your PDF document with outlined fonts.
